Kevin Melquist
Cobblestone Inspections owner Kevin Melquist brings more than 20 years of extensive, hands-on, real-life construction industry experience to home and commercial inspections. He has been and continues to be involved with all aspects of construction including estimating, building, maintenance, and sales. He is a NYS Licensed Home Inspector # 16000058514.
Kevin started working as a carpenter after he graduated from high school, eventually opening his own construction company in 2002. In addition to building houses from the ground up, Kevin also served as a project manager for a commercial roofing company. He now specializes in commercial roof inspections, as well as commercial property inspections and a wide range of home inspection services, sharing the knowledge he developed from years in the roofing and construction industry.
In 2005, Kevin obtained his real estate license and started working as an agent while continuing his construction work. This gave him extensive hands-on experience in listing and selling houses, and finding properties to rehabilitate and flip. Kevin’s background in construction and real estate instilled valuable knowledge and the skills to properly inspect and evaluate all areas of residential and commercial construction.
Kevin named his business in honor of his parents, who owned a restaurant when he was growing up called Cobblestones. When he’s not inspecting, building or restoring homes and buildings, Kevin is busy with his wife Karianne and 7 children, who stay active in baseball, football, and soccer. He loves to explore the history of properties and areas around Pennsylvania and New York, and volunteers with local community organizations. He also follows sports that involve strategy, like baseball and hockey and being outdoors hunting and bicycle riding.

Jason Shultz
Cobblestone Inspections Inspector Jason Shultz has over 20 years of combined experience in the fields of mechanical and industrial equipment inspections, real estate sales, and customer service. He served 20 years in the United States Navy, serving as a Mechanical Supervisor onboard 3 Submarines, while gaining valuable experience in the fields of quality assurance and inspections. Jason also served 7 years as a Navy Counselor, gaining a breadth of experience in sales and customer service. In 2012, he retired from active service in the United States Navy, and subsequently completed a Bachelor Degree in Psychology. Jason also has 6 years of experience as a Realtor with Howard Hanna and Coldwell Banker offices in Erie, allowing him to better understand the critical process and points of the home inspection process.
Jason resides in Fairview, Pa, with his wife Megan and 3 children, who keep him busy with basketball and dance. He loves to golf, enjoys camping at Findley Lake, and has quickly become one of the most trusted inspectors in the Erie area. Jason takes great pride in performing real estate inspections. having a developed a keen attention to detail from years of military and life experience. Jason is dedicated to ensuring that his clients are comfortable and well informed with regard real estate transactions and the home inspection process and results.

Timothy Sosko
Tim is a graduate of PennState University with a degree in mechanical engineering technology.He has worked many years for a property management company where he oversaw repairs, maintenance, and the occupancy of rentals. In addition, he has assisted his family in the rehabilitation and selling of several properties since the time he was in highschool.
Tim grew up in southwestern Pa. In his free time he is active in the boyscouts, where he earned his Eagle Scout in 2012. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, and traveling.
Tim enjoys the hands on aspect of home inspections and his experience and schooling make him a qualified person to represent Cobblestone on your investment.
