Meet Our Team
Kevin Melquist
Chief Inspector
Kevin started working as a carpenter after graduating high school, eventually opening his own construction company in 2002. In addition to building houses from the ground up, Kevin also served as a Realtor, a property investor, a property manager, and a project manager for a commercial roofing company. In 2005, Kevin obtained his real estate license and started working as an agent while continuing his construction work. This gave him extensive hands-on experience in listing and selling houses and finding properties to rehabilitate and flip. Kevin’s background in construction and real estate instilled valuable knowledge and the skills to properly inspect and evaluate all areas of residential and commercial buildings. Kevin has turned his focus to finding talent, building teams, and raising the bar in the Inspection industry. When he is not working, he enjoys discovering new places and ideas, reading, camping, golfing, baseball and football, and spending time with his family.
Jason Shultz
Lead Inspector
Jason has over 20 years of combined experience in mechanical and industrial equipment inspections, real estate sales, and customer service. He served 20 years in the United States Navy as a Mechanical Supervisor onboard 3 Submarines while gaining valuable experience in quality assurance and inspections. Jason also served seven years as a Navy Counselor, gaining extensive experience in sales and customer service. In 2012, he retired from active service in the United States Navy and subsequently completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Jason also has six years of experience as a Realtor with Howard Hanna and Coldwell Banker offices in Erie, allowing him to understand better the critical process and points of the home inspection process. Jason resides in Fairview, Pa; he loves golf, enjoys camping, basketball, and football, and has quickly become one of the most trusted inspectors in the Erie area. Jason takes great pride in performing real estate inspections and developing keen attention to detail from years of military and life experience. He is dedicated to ensuring that his clients are comfortable and well-informed about real estate transactions, home inspection processes, and results.
Kristie Salvaggio
Operations Leader
Kristie is a former travel agent and has worked in a few other areas in the travel industry, making her perfect for the demands of our inspectors and clients. She joined the company in 2021 and loves the day-to-day of the inspection industry and keeps the company running smoothly. In her spare time, She loves to kayak, read, and spend time with her family.
